  • Started career in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department and served the department in different capacities for 9 years, (i.e., till 1978). During this period, conducted audit of inventories of several State Government Companies. Thus, fully experienced in Govt. procedures, Govt. Audit etc. Moved out to the industry consequent on passing the Final Examination of ICWAI.
  • Served the Industrial sector thereafter for 28 years (1978 to 2006) in various capacities, starting from junior executive level (i.e. initiation level for proposals and working level executive) upto top level (i.e. Decision making, monitoring and reporting to CEO & Board).
  • Worked in private and public sector companies of repute in the fields of Power Generation, Equipment Manufacturing, Mining and Manufacture for Military Aviation, as detailed below:

  • Involvement and participation was total for COST AUDIT while working with KEC & NGEF since the major product in these companies (viz :Electric Motors )was under COST AUDIT and maintenance of cost records was mandatory. I was responsible not only for maintenance of cost records and compilation of data in the prescribed pro-formae for cost audit but also to coordinate with all the units of the company for timely completion of cost audit, duly furnishing explanation & justifications to the Cost Auditors.
  • Out of the 28 years of Industrial experience 6 years of work experience has been as Chief of Finance at Project site of NPCIL and next 11 years as General Manager (Finance) heading the Finance & Accounts function
  • Formerly, the General Manager (Finance) in HAL for 9 years (till March 2006),and presently is in practice as a Cost Accountant.
  • Fully exposed to all the functions/activities of the Finance discipline (such as Accounts finalization, Audit, Finance Management-both long term & Working Capital, Project Management, Taxation etc.)
  • Fully exposed to Audit functions- Internal Audit & System Audit, Audit of Stocks, Inventories, Assets, at Company and at various units, Systems & procedures
  • Has been a key player in preparation of Project Reports and monitoring of the Project activities of mega projects –with outlays ranging Thousands of Crores of Rupees-including coordination with the Govt. of India for obtaining necessary clearances for Project execution, Revision in Project Cost estimates and Schedules etc.
  • Has handled mobilization of funds through issue of bonds and Investment of temporary surplus etc. from working capital funds.
  • As a member of the team of top executives, finalized contracts for Transfer of Technology with foreign collaborators, negotiated and finalized contracts for import/purchase of very high value capital goods, raw materials, technological kits etc.

B.Com. FCMA, Insolvency Professional

Started career in Indian Telephone Industries and worked in the field of Finance, Costing, Material Accounts, Regional office Accounting, Inland Purchase Accounting, and Management Information Systems.

Worked in Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited as Costing Supervisor and was involved in the following activities:

  • Involved in implementation of cost accounting system from inception till final stage.
  • Had good exposure to systems and procedures since Company is a FMCG Company.
  • Coordinating with cost auditors for successful completion of cost audits
  • Good experience in the following areas:
    • Working capital management
    • Maintenance of fixed assets register
    • Valuation of stock including work in progress (WIP), Preparation of monthly profit & loss (P&L) account
    • Preparation of various documents for submission to banks for approval of loans

Worked in International Instruments Ltd as Executive Costing and was involved in the following areas:

  • Responsible for the implementation of budgetary control system for the entire organization
  • Maintenance of fixed assets register
  • Approval of purchase orders
  • Coordination with auditors in the conduct of financial audits

Worked in M/S Prabhakar & Co. and was involved in Verification of Cost Accounting Records, Cost Audits, Stock Audits and Analytical Studies.
Currently, in practice: Conducting Cost Audits of various companies and Stock Audit of companies on behalf of Banks & also an Insolvency Professional Handling Various Assignments under IBC 2016.
